C.P. Company x Clarks Originals Link for Heritage Infused Collab

C.P. Company x Clarks Originals’ collaboration is as visually rich as it is texturally.

C.P. Company’s collaborations always make sense. Hot off the press from adidas Spezial and Patta, C.P. Company has grabbed Clarks Originals for a rework of a classic footwear silhouette, some unique takes on jackets and a crossbody bag.

The collaboration’s focus is celebrating the point that nature meets the city, meaning natural materials like wax and rubber are integrated with modern technology and heritage craftsmanship.

The collection is about quality over quantity: two jackets, two shoes and a crossbody bag.

Both jackets – one anorak with signature C.P. goggles at the hood, one longer, more robust parka-style jacket with a lens on the arm – are made from polyurethane-coated linen which, with its wax-like appearance, not only greatly improves the weather resistance of the linen but also adds body and emphasises the irregular qualities of the linen yarn.

The Desert Trek Remastered is bolstered with a Vibram outsole and a TPU-injected 3D-moulded heel counter, while the Desert Trek Original utilises the iconic plantation crepe sole, and a laminated contrast rubber panel.

In a superb bit of detailing, both shoes feature an embossed C.P sailor sits on one heel, while Clarks’ Trek-Man logo sits on the other.

The final crossbody bag is made from the same polyurethane-coated linen as the collection’s outerwear, making it sturdy and water-resistant.

The range is shot by Will Grundy, who has framed the pieces on an English beach, evoking the rich feeling of the coastline, where sand, grass and water mingle together, mirroring the colours of the collection.

The C.P. Company x Clarks Originals collab went live today and sold like hotcakes. If you’re still after anything, our friends at Fresh Store have some bits left.
