Cherchbi, new label launches for AW’11

Having just finished work on a cookery show that featured old family recipes, I know all about Herdwick sheep (and how nice they taste in a hot-pot). What I didn’t know was that the fleeces from this ancient and hardy Lake District breed have been pretty much over-looked in the past, often being thrown away or burnt. Step forward Cherchbi who realised what a criminal waste this was and set about using this distinctive wool to create a range of high quality and rather impressive bags.

The resulting 13 piece capsule collection all feature Herdwyck No.10 a pure wool original (waterproof) tweed, spun slowly to give the yarn greater strength, densely woven and bonded with natural rubber to cotton linings. Key styles include the Black Sail Rucksack, a selection of holdalls, a library tote, laptop and iPad sleeves and a satchel available in three sizes.
