When we sat down with the Craghoppers team to discuss making them a short film to showcase their archive collection, I suggested using the early 80s cult channel 4 drama ‘One Summer’ as inspiration. The idea being to take two best mates and show them escaping the grit and grime of the city for a day of escapism in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside whilst kitted out in clothing that originated just up the road in Batley. It got the green light and so we took to the streets, cafes, greengrocers, book shops, bus stops and pubs of beautiful Holmfirth to make some menswear magic. I’ll let you judge for yourself on the outcome but we had a great time making our short film and the archive collection got as much (if not more) attention from the super friendly locals as our modern day ‘Billy & Icky’ did!
