Introducing… Red Wing Sawmill

Thought their name conjures up lovely images of pine scented factories and they look like a classic hiking boot for me the new Red Wing Sawmill boot is pure paninaro tackle. I can just see a pair of these (teamed up with some C.P. Company, a pair of cords and Burlington socks) kick starting a scrambler in Milan’s Piazza San Babila back in the day.

Making up part of Red Wing’s AW19 collection the Sawmill uses waterproof olive mohave leather and D-rings with a riveted hook to allow for speedy lacing. Whilst the boot’s cambrelle lining offers comfort and moisture management, through bi-component fibres that constantly adapt to the motion of your foot. Also providing the highest level of abrasion resistance, keeping your feet dry, cool & comfortable, all while protecting the boot itself. Which sounds to me pretty much like the perfect pair of Autumn/Winter boots whether you’re in Milano or Manchester.

Available from the Red Wing store London as well as online here.
