Karhu’s History Defines its Future

Karhu is a timeless piece of living history.

Back in 1916, Karhu used a piece of three stripe branding on its trainers. They used the branding until 1952, when a brand started by one Adolf Dassler bought the three stripes trademark for €1,600 and two bottles of whiskey.

Adolf “Adi” Dassler turned the subsequent trademark into adidas’ defining feature. Karhu then began to use the “M” logo which graces the sides of its trainers now.

Both brands, of course, are lively to this day, but there’s an adding benefit to Karhu knowing that they were pioneers.

Yards Store has just updated its selection, adding models like the Legacy 96 and new colourways to the Fusion 2.0.
