Boston functionality meets Tokyo creativity in a merging of two of Proper’s favourite brands for AW18. New Balance and Nanamica have collaborated on a super limited capsule collection that has the ‘R_C1’ shoe at it’s (norm)core. Inspired by the NB 1300 it pairs up GORE-TEX & ENCAP functionality with Nanamica’s distinctive colour pallette to create a ‘the pair that goes with everything’ (specially Gore-tex Cruiser jackets).
Accompanying the R_C1 are flock print logo tees and sweats that colour match the shoes and are inspired by those worn by NB factory staff in an archive book the Nanamica design team discovered. Showing the letters of Nanamica in the same font as the NB runner logo they’re also constructed from moisture wicking and fast drying Coolmax cotton.
The collection will be available at all Nanamica locations from October 27th and select locations from November 10th, 2018 including our good mates at the Hip Store.
