As New Balance open up their flagship store on Oxford Street this week they’ve released a suitable London-centric pair of shoes to mark this auspicious event. Made in the UK at Flimby and named the ‘London Cab’ duo thanks to the instantly recognisable Hackney carriage taxi being the prime source of inspiration. Both the 1500 and the 991 feature a matte leather upper like the exterior paintwork of a black cab with additional orange and silver detailing to reflect the taxi’s rooftop light and chrome bumpers.
Retailing at £160 per style, only 130 of the 1500 for men and 991 for women have been manufactured with only 70 of each available to buy from the New Balance Oxford Street store at 9:00am on 28th October.
