If you’re a geek about GORPCORE, then Gramicci is undoubtedly the one for you.
As a brand, it ticks almost of the boxes you could throw at it. Even the slightly lame story of how it came to get its name is actually cool. There are plenty of brands around who pretend they’re Italian and in doing so pull the merino wool over the eyes of their unsuspecting customers. Gramicci just called themselves that because the founder was called Mike Graham and his nickname was therefore Gramicci. Graham-Gramicci… it makes no sense, but also, it makes all the sense.
Its roots are more Yosemite than Dolomite, though it’d look smart on any hilly landscape, even if it doesn’t have ‘mite’ in its name.
