Newness from The Longshot Exp.

Normally when we get sent a press release we like to translate it into our own inimitable vernacular and take out all the boring bits. But when we get sent something by the Longshot Exp. it’s too good to mess about with, so here, word for word, is what they have to say all about their new collection of highly desirable headwear…

“Ah, Autumn. Big coats, hats, hats that look like coats. –

Well, perhaps they don’t look exactly like coats. However, the newly remastered Felix bell hat from The Long Shot Exp. unapologetically channels the essence, nay, the spirit of classic North Eastern outerwear. Crafted from British Millerain’s ‘Antique’ waxed cotton with a tan corduroy trim beneath the brim, the inspiration is clear and Long Shot’s meticulous approach to design and manufacture ensures the quality is up to expectations.

Also taking inspiration from South Shields’ fnest is the perennial Austin Worker’s Cap. Waxed cotton and cord are joined by a striped wool double-cloth on the earfap. The carefully curated, high quality materials make this iteration of the ever popular Austin the best one yet.

Rounding out Long Shot’s seasonal selection so far are two versions of their most recent silhouette. The Serge cap is an unstructured baseball cap with a soft peak and adjustable ‘fxlock’ fastening. A chunky Navy corduroy and the aforementioned striped wool double-cloth bring some serious warmth to the refned styling.

The Long Shot Exp. hats are made by hand, one at a time in Manchester, UK. All of our products are made to order in limited numbers. Working in this way we can avoid waste and limit any negative impact on the environment. “
