Originally released way back in ’97 the Nike ACG Air Skarn may look like they were developed specifically with navigating late night jungle raves in mind but trust me they’re all about the outdoors. That rugged rubber outsole and the super comfy sole unit provide a lightweight yet supportive alternative to heavy hiking boots. Though I have hit the hills in ACG shoes in the past I don’t think I’d have the minerals to put these new versions through their paces in the Peak District. They’re just that bit too nice to get covered in mud and stuff aren’t they? Mine are getting swathed in Crep Protect and only taken out for a spin during clement weather in a heavily concreted environment only, those are the only conditions under which I’ll wear all this ACG gear.
