Thanks to the huge success of last years ‘London On Air’ and to celebrate Air Max Day from March the 22nd this year Nike are hosting a design workshop series in Paris, London, New York, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo. The idea being to engage participants in the process of Nike footwear design and giving them an opportunity to create the ultimate articulation of one of 10 Air Max icons for their city. From concept development, silhouette selection, material & colour exploration, and final embellishment, participants will have the chance to be a part of each stage. The way it will work is at the end of each series each member submits their finished Air Max design to a judging panel who will select their top three concepts from each city. Each design that goes through then gets put to a global vote with the winner actually going into production. How cool is that? You don’t have to have had any previous experience in design either so we’re all in with a chance too!
