Sometimes in life, you paraphrase. At other times, what you want to say has already been said but much better. This is one of the latter moments. Here’s how Oi Polloi have introduced these wonderful sweats from Carhartt’s AW21 collection:
“The year is 1889, and all across the United States of America railroad engineers are struggling with shoddy overalls that aren’t up to the job. Never one to miss a business opportunity, a quick-witted New Yorker by the name of Hamilton Carhartt decides to take matters into his own hands, and after grilling every railroad worker he meets, sets about creating the first pair of overalls designed specifically for the rigours of the rails. Made from thick cotton duck with triple stitching and even a pocket for your hammer, these overalls soon become the unofficial uniform of the US railroad worker.”
These colourful bits are the first to drop from Carhartt’s upcoming AW21 collection which you can see in action below. Keep your eyes peeled for more.
