Though Paul & Shark have had a place in my heart since way back in the early 90s, at the moment it feels like their new, fresher direction has resulted in some of their best designs in years. As with Stone Island, I guess it’s thanks in part to ‘the kids’ rediscovering these brilliant Italian brands and provoking the rest of us into revisiting out own youth and remembering why we love them. Either that or they’ve actually been making consistently brilliant stuff since day one and we’re just taken our eye of the ‘nautical but nice’ ball a bit.
