Paul Weller, Porto Alegre and Obey’s new football shirt

Football culture is so hot right now, isn’t it?

Every brand is itching to produce their take on what makes football so great, even to people who wouldn’t normally be passionate about it. The curmudgeons don’t like it when this happens, but I do. I like it. I like it especially when a brand like Obey produce a shirt which looks part-Britpop classic, part-Brazilian club side, circa 1978.

This is like something Paul Weller would have worn while on stage in Porto Alegre, home of Gremio. That’s why it’s great and that’s why I’ll be trying to grab one for my 5-a-side escapades.

You can get one too, Roulette have them.
