Private White V.C. x RÆBURN ‘Made In England’ Capsule

Manchester’s own Private White V.C. has teamed up with responsible design pioneers RÆBURN for a five-piece capsule built around military influences and luxury craftsmanship.

At the heart of the capsule sits the Reversible Field Jacket, made from Manchester-manufactured Ventile® material. Ventile® was developed by scientists at the Shirley Institute, with extra-long fibres that compress into a dense cotton yarn that’s perfect for pilot’s immersion suits. The material was used by the RAF for pilots during the Second World War, as well as in the outfit worn on the first summit of Everest in 1953. The jacket is also detailed with a material made of military C9 Parachute canopies – giving the piece its distinct orange colour block.

Other pieces include a tote, a bucket hat, trousers, and t-shirt, all with varying degrees of Ventile® and canopy.

The entire Private White V.C. × RÆBURN collection is reconstructed and hand-made in the Private White V.C. headquarters, which stands as the last remaining heritage clothing factory in Manchester.

The collection is available online and in select Private White V.C. and RÆBURN stores.
