No strangers to innovation, RÆBURN continues to push the envelope in the world of technical outerwear. Their latest collaboration with Tokyo based Onward Advanced System is no exception. Formed of seven superb outerwear styles, the collection successfully blends patented Japanese material technology with RÆBURN’s signature design DNA.
For the material and construction aficionados amongst us, the partnership makes use of two patented techwear innovations, the Advance Down System (ADS) and the Advance Raingear System (ARS).
Retaining even warmth and volume without sacrificing weight, ADS is a down structure like no other. The filling is recycled from post-consumer goods such as duvets, whilst “Z-tapes” ensure adequate air circulation and flexibility. ARS is Onward’s water repellent stitching technology. Whereas taped seams are synonymous with traditional rainwear, ARS utilises a forward-thinking tape free design, providing effective water repellency in a smooth and flexible package.
Mixing sleek monochrome and vivid colour palettes, standout pieces from the collaboration include the ARS Field Jacket. Combining a slightly oversized silhouette with a plethora of technical design details, it all comes together to produce a seriously progressive piece of technical menswear.
