Salomon and COPSON Celebrate Italy’s Calabrian Region

The Tempro Allegro campaign highlights a new Ultra Raid colourway with COPSON.

Copson founder Maria Falbo was born in a Calabrian village, a region in the south of Italy, smack bang on the toe arch of Italy’s boot. The region is famous for its sprawling beaches, rising cliffs and dramatic rock formations.

Falbo begins the collaboration’s press release with a simple statement, and ultimately, wish: “surrounded by earthly splendour, may we slow down and relish in beauty and pleasure.”

While historically associated with winter sports and the Alpine region, French brand Salomon has burst onto the sport and running scene with explosive authority, and now COPSON has grabbed them to imbue the Ultra Raid with some of their sunny disposition.

The Ultra Raid for Copson takes an OG silhouette and fills it with Salomon’s modern technological innovation, building a bridge between two worlds and creating something new for both brands.

The Tempro Allegro campaign is designed to celebrate the Calabrian region, especially the village that Falbo grew up in, which is unfortunately on its last legs. COPSON has begun a long-term project of regenerating it, highlighting the lifestyle and immersing themselves back in the life of the Southern Italian world.

The comfort-enhancing features include lightweight, transparent mesh uppers and All Terrain Contagrip. An energy foam insert under the shoe is sort and responsive, while the Negroni-red accents on the Ultra Raid bring an accelerative touch.

‘Tempo Allegro’ is a musical term meaning ‘quick and bright pace’. It formed the philosophical start for the collab, with the Italian root suggesting a lively and spirited mood.

The photoshoot is designed just as much to show off the new Ultra Raid colourway as it is to demonstrate a way of life and individual philosophy.

The images were shot in-house by the COPSON creative team.
