When I first heard about this new Levi’s project I was initially quite sceptical, geddit? Skepta/Sceptial. Oh please yourselves. Anyway with the help of dead good Grime MC, producer and label boss Skepta Levi’s have just launched their #SupportMusic initiative at the opening of their ‘You Say You Want a Revolution’ exhibition happening over at the V&A. The project’s aim being to give something back to communities around the world by providing inspiration and access to musical education.
With this in mind Levi’s and Skepta have set up a musical space at his local community centre in Tottenham where young people will get a chance to gain experience in recording, lighting design, sound production as well as all important stuff like how to build yourself a decent social media presence as an artist. By spending time with Skepta and a wealth of other musical experts the students will get to showcase their talent and newfound skills via a performance back at the V&A during their Revolutions Weekender on the 4-6th November.
