Back in 1982, Massimo Osti built the foundations for Stone Island. Now in 2022, 40 years down the line, the brand is celebrating its anniversary.
As part of its Spring-Summer 2022 range, Stone Island has thrown in several pieces that explicitly celebrate the brand’s 40-year run.
A key theme is brightness, with oranges and blues keeping the spring-summer continuity. Each item, from hoodies to sweaters and t-shirts, is dressed with subtle ‘82/22’ detailing paying respect to two important dates: the past and the present.
The sweaters and t-shirts are finished with spell out embroidery using the same font pioneered by Stone Island in 1982, adding a historical design touch.
