First of all lets work out exactly what this ‘shirt’ is shall we? It’s substantial brushed cotton canvas construction places it firmly in overshirt territory but wait what’s this? There’s also a quarter zip thing going on rather than straight up buttons that almost renders it as a smock. But there’s no hood and a proper shirt style collar there instead, so maybe we should call it a popover? Stone Island and Oi Polloi probably don’t mind what you call it as long as you acknowledge the immense amount of care and attention that’s gone into making this fine specimen. It’s been made using their exclusive ‘old effect’ dyeing technique which creates a very subtle fade on the garment, giving it a lovely ‘Matisse going to the match’ feel.
