Stone Island smock dropping in ‘Pearl Grey’ and ‘Rose Quartz’ over at Aphrodite.
Massimo Osti’s fascination with military garments played a huge role in the evolution of Stone Island, and while the brand is more popularly known for its technical materials and experimental fabrics, they’ve also mastered the art of producing more understated pieces.
Case in point: this Hooded Overshirt AKA Smock.
Is it an overshirt? or is it a smock? what’s the difference between the two? I’m not quite sure but what I do know is that Stone Island has got it spot on, again.
Built with a relaxed fit and constructed from a durable cotton canvas, this midweight piece offers both form and function – as expected from the Italian brand. A zipped kangaroo pouch and button-down chest pocket make for valuable storage space, while discreet arm vents allow for improved airflow, regulating temperature and ensuring breathability.
The hood of the smock can be adjusted thanks to the compass branded drawstring, and as usual, the garment is finished off with the detachable badge that’s synonymous with the Italian brand.
