Superga 2706 OG – an Italian Love Story of Fashion & Food

The Superga 2706 OG is a souped-up Fiat Supermirafiori. That means that it’s a utilitarian family shoe, a reliable piece that maintains good, solid, and well-thought-out design details. This is a pretty democratic way of looking at a pair of shoes: one that feels quintessentially Italian. Way before all that Ferrari and high-fashion stuff, there was socialist Italy – and some of the good parts of that still run through the Italian bloodstream.

Three colourways of Superga’s 2706 OG are dropping on August 26th (today) and will be available via the Oi Polloi website.

To celebrate the release, Oi Polloi headed over to Stockport’s Benvenuti to curate a love story of fashion and food. Three friends sit around the table deliberating what to have for tea, all styled in Italian classics like Stone Island, Fila, and, of course, Superga.

“Sportivo e Scran” the editorial declares in a typically Manc-way, as pizza and pasta turn up at the table.

Make sure to flick through the storyboard below and cop the release at Oi Polloi.
