When we decided to up our interview game there was a natural place to start. We’ve known the lads behind The Casual Connoisseur for over a decade now.…
Having the integrity not to be arsed about ‘Cash-Cows’ (Sir) Kenneth Mackenzie has turned his focus once more to Cash Ca (geddit?) and producing a collection of top…
Hey look a new label, that’s made in England and isn’t shit, in fact it’s pretty frigging ace, who’d have thought? Welcome to the world of NOMOI a Greek…
Whilst other #menswear brands try to reinvent themselves or create an imagined history, background story or faux Britishness (mentioning no names…I will if you bung me tenner) it’s…
I proper love this relief map of the Alaskan mountains partly because it reminds me of a 1960s Apollo space ship model kit I got when I was…
We’re big on using alliteration here at poetic Proper. Sometimes it’s not easy but occasionally this stuff writes itself. Take Six Eight Seven Six x Cash Ca Capsule…
We’ve written loads about 6876 and Kenneth Mackenzie now. Sitting here attempting to tee him up yet again is a familiar feeling. Suffice to say when we tried…

On our recent jaunt to London, a couple of us had the pleasure of spending time with 6876’s Kenneth MacKenzie and Garbstore’s Ian Paley. Both were exceptional hosts, and better still, both make things we really, really like.
With that in mind, it was pretty ace to hear them both tell us about the collaboration they had planned.
Back in January the Proper Magazine bandwagon limped into London and our first port of call was a certain cool complex near to Russell Square.
Within this impressive building the 6876 studio exists.
We’ve long been fans of 6876 so it was with curiosity we headed down to their HQ earlier this year. On that occasion we saw the first samples of Kenneth MacKenzie’s collaboration with the Regent Belt Company, released soon after under the name of R6. Well, that stuff obviously went down well because it’s back again with a second collection for AW10.
According to Pete Beale (or is it Steve?) Posing fuckers like us aren’t making up for a poverty stricken childhood where we had to be rock hard and/or dead funny to avoid getting crucified for wearing snide Walker trackie bottoms instead of proper Tacchini ones (though personally I didn’t have either).
