It’s safe to say that Woolrich have earned their stripes when it comes to making really amazing jackets but can they cut the mustard when it comes to footwear? Well the answer is a big massive YES if you’re looking for something that sits in between a full on hiking boot and a super suave European trainer. Their first ever footwear range (made in an exclusive partnership with Vibram no less) features some tremendous technical boots many of which include soles based on the legendary “carrarmato” mountain sole. Though it might feel like a bold direction to go in, it’s actually a fairly logical move when you consider their iconic status in the outdoor clothing scene isn’t it? Their use of premium materials, high spec technical details and superb design makes me think that this progressive heritage brand could soon become a head-to-toe, one stop shop for those of us who want to look our best whilst braving the British weather.
