It’s not an easy thing to do you know – when I say it’s not easy, it’s not that hard either trying to get DJ’s to do mixes for us. All the good one’s are normally too busy, so you end up in a queue like taking a ticket at Argos* to wait on your order, then it’s that glorious moment when your number comes up on the screen/the mp3 lands in your inbox. SO we’re rather delighted to have Max Essa deliver an hour of music – yes, I’ve annoyed the living daylights out of him to get to this junction but it’s well been worth the wait (unlike most of my Argos* experiences).
I’ve admired Max’s musical output for around a decade now with his early work on Bearfunk (Back to the Beach still being a fave) and more recent I’ve just bought his remix of Aleceo – keep an eye out as he’s got new music coming soon on Hell Yeah! (Italy), another for Is It Balearic? Recordings, and Eskimo.
If you want to catch Max playing records, well I’m afraid to break this to you, he’s located in Japan – so if you’re lucky enough to be around that part of the world please check the dates below for guaranteed aural delights.
