It’s very easy to spot design repeats in the outerwear world. The same layouts of pockets and zips repeat themselves indefinitely. No brand, really, is safe from these sorts of repetitions – after all, pockets are often in the same place because they make sense that way; your hands naturally fall there or a jacket’s structural capacity is best there.
As I said: no brand is entirely safe. But Nigel Cabourn really does produce some of the most interesting jackets around. Look at this piece, available at Terraces, with its large angular pockets, a centralised drawstring, and closure protection.
