Grants 1856 | Portuguese Flannel

I don’t know about you but for me finding the right shirt can be a bit of a pain in the arse to say the least. It has to be able to do the top button up without rendering me unconscious, it also has to be just the right length that it I can let it all hang out but without looking like I’m wearing a nightie, of course the arms have to be long enough to comfortably cover my wrists but go no further, then the chest pocket has to be a of a functional size/design despite the fact I’m never going to put anything in there and finally the colour/pattern have to be absolutely perfect. So yeah, I wear a lot of sweatshirts and polos most of the time, though Ralph, EG and Our Legacy have come up trumps for me in the past. I just said trumps, ha ha.

Anyway, this week I became the proud owner of a ‘Foz’ shirt from relatively new brand Portuguese Flannel who you may not be mega surprised to learn comes from Portugal and makes stuff out of super soft flannel-y cotton. Not only does my new shirt it fit all of the aforementioned criteria but it feels bloody great to wear too. All warm and soft like you’re having a bath but instead of using water you’ve used Bengal cats and hot chocolate. So if you’re a stickler for shirt perfection and like the idea of a wearing a furry hot drink that won’t cause you third degree burns then look no further than Grants 1856.
