Future Sounds of London camcorder video vibes, a low-flying swan, some immaculately turned out kids and cig smoking close-ups provide the ingredients for a thoroughly smashing look-book preview film from the good, good people at Edwin. Put together by Melchior Tersen the AW16 look book itself is titled ‘Hinterland’ to reflect the uncluttered ‘super-normal’ styling that shows perfectly why everyday essentials are so essential. Shot in the Parisian burbs it puts me in mind of my adventures in France during the 90s where raving to Daft Punk in Disneyland, duelling with baguettes and trying to strap several crates of Kronenburg onto the back of a moped were all done whilst wearing similar swag.
