If you remember the sterling work featured in The Face magazine (a big inspiration to Proper btw) then you’ll instantly recognise the name Juergen Teller whose shutter skills were regularly on show in that hallowed publication. A world renowned fashion photographer (and artist) your man Juergen has also worked with Vogue, i-D, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, YSL as well as being top mates with Bjork. Being professor of photography at the Academy of fine arts over in Nuremberg it’s perhaps no surprise that Juergen has recently hooked up with adidas Originals to shoot the lookbook for this seasons latest range of EQT footwear and apparel.
With a nod to EQTs original green palette and it’s 1990s roots the clothing in the collection also features lots of black and white that fuses classic sportswear and bold prints with a contemporary design perspective. Whilst on the footwear tip there’s the EQT Racing 91, EQT Support 93/17 and EQT Support ADV in it’s all new signature colour of Turbo Red. I love just how German this all is, which is no surprise thanks to Juergen, the Berlin backdrop and the functional, no nonsense, functional aesthetic that EQT still represents.
