In case you missed it adidas Originals will be launching a seriously limited new City series silhouette next week in the form of the adidas Blackburn SPZL. It’ll be arriving at the highly anticipated adidas Spezial exhibition in the East Lancashire town where rumour has it will be even bigger and better than previous Spezial events. The exhibition will showcase the evolution of adidas footwear past and present in Blackburn’s magnificent Cotton Exchange, as the headliner of the British Textile Biennial.
Curated by Mr Spezial himself Gary Aspden, the main man has chosen over 1,000 pairs from his own personal collection as well as those from other collectors from around the globe. In amongst the mind-boggling array of vintage trainers, gigs, talks, DJS and Hanon Pop-up shop the aforementioned Blackburn SPZL shoe will also be available to buy. Exlcusive to the event are 200 versions with ‘Nighsafe’ branding on the footbed. Nighstafe being a local charity who support the homeless in the area and to whom all proceeds from the sales will be going to.
