And Wander needs no introduction. We consider them the pinnacle of Japanese outdoor excellence. But their origin is more than that: the duo behind the brand, Mr Keita Ikeuchi and Ms Mihoko Mori met while working at Issey Miyake, which gives their mountaineering garments a high-fashion haute touch.
“We wanted to kindle a desire for nature and the mountains with our collection while also applying the experience we had from working with a Parisian fashion brand, and thus establish a bridge between fashion and outdoor wear,” Ikeuchi told The Spin Off in 2018.
