C.P. Company Cinquanta: Chapter 01 Lucio Dalla

Part of a post-war born group of singers known as cantautori, Bologna-born singer Lucio Dalla soundtracked the lives of an entire generation of Italians. Massimo Osti was also a part of this cultural revolution and a close friend of Lucio who also lived in Bologna which during the 1970s was the epicentre of Italian culture and a place where artists, musicians, designers, philosophers, and poets shared creative spaces and viewpoints in what was an incredibly tumultuous world. Sharing a mutual respect for one another’s genius Massimo & Lucio collaborated together on a number of projects with Mr. Osti designing some album covers and Mr Dalla wearing a variety of custom made C.P. pieces onstage.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary this year C.P. are honouring this creative relationship with a unique capsule collection of t-shirts that feature new and archive images and illustrations that pay homage to Lucio’s musical legacy. Whilst C.P. have also opened up Lucio’s home as an artists in residency space for students from Bologna and Milan to create a documentary about Massimo, Lucio and their incredible work.
