I know this beautifully beige range of Clarks Originals come under the title of the ‘Veg tan’ pack because they made from natural vegetable tanned,Italian leather and suede but personally I can’t see beyond the word caramac. This name has jumped into my brain perhaps because it’s nearly Easter or it could be due to all the episodes of Rainbow on youtube I’ve been watching recently with my kids that’s got me thinking about old school confectionery. That said, alongside caramac you could also use ‘the horse in that Real Estate video’ (this one) as a fair colour description of these sensational shoes too. I’m sticking with caramac though, you can make your own mind up but whatever you call these Desert Boots, Wallabees, Desert Treks, Weavers and Trigenic Flex you can’t deny that they’re on some serious, next level ‘Freddy McGregor goes hygge’ kind of tip.
