As more and more ‘fashion types’ appear to be enjoying the outdoor life it’s heart-warming to see two Swedish brands coming together to cement this current movement. Sharing (literal) common ground in terms of their homeland Fjällräven and Acne Studios are both incredibly cool in a way only Scandinavians can be yet each lives at opposite ends of the clothing spectrum. Whilst Acne are all about form, Fjall are all about function which is what brought the Acne design team to come knocking on Fjällräven’s door to suggest they apply their distinctive Acne flair to some classic Fjäll pieces in what is as far as I’m aware their first collaboration of this kind. The resulting collection is all killer no filler with a wealth of newly edited design features such as reflective patches, oversized pockets and a playful use of classic Fjällräven colours and technical materials. Much more than a collab this is a smörgåsbord of Swedishness that will have us all reaching for our credit cards from Stockholm to Stockport.
