Cop a load of Foot District’s brand new flagship store that’s freshly opened up in Madrid. It’s super futuristic design feels like a tactile version of the digital world, almost as though a website has actually come to life. Ultra thin cement, a 3D printer and a polished basketball fence room around the entrance to a room dedicated to Nike Jordans combine to give the store it’s unique character that’s a million miles away from your high street sneaker spot. Within the Jordan room you can expect to find a selection of curated videos that include game highlights, commercials and documentaries relating to every sneaker Jordan wore. They’ve also created 3D models of the 14 different shoes he wore during his career each of which trigger an informative video based on the chosen model when lifted up that plays out on a large 2 x 0.8m LED screen. Situated at 35 Valverde street in Madrid it’s worth hopping on a place just to come and have a look at this phenomenal retail experience/basketball shrine.
