Fred Perry British Workwear Capsule Collection: 2nd drop

The latest arrivals from Fred Perry’s British Workwear capsule collection have a strong (backhand) swerve towards classy Laurel branded leather patches and authentic accessories. Reflecting our beloved Stopfordian work hard/play hard attitude these styles and materials take inspiration from the 1930s and 40s factory floor (Fred’s dad was a cotton spinner) as well as working men’s clubs (everyone in Stockport likes cheap beer). As it’s that time of year rich wool flannel jackets alongside sit alongside heavy down coats; layered over textured knits and tri-colour marl sweats. The collection also features refined but hard-wearing pieces alongside traditional tartan and Oxford shirting, tipped and plain pique jerseys and fine gauge merino knits. Coming from where he did and given the achievements he made Fred’s drive and determination was born from a culture of hard work and perfecting your craft, a noble legacy that appears to have stuck around thanks to the brand’s aptly named Authentic range.
