I don’t know about you guys but I spent an impressive amount of time sat outside drinking coffee in the sunshine today, which is quite some achievement when you consider that I live in Stockport rather than the Californian coast. And whilst the atmosphere outside the Costa Coffee in Marple may not have have been quite as cool as it is down on Venice Beach at least my Garrett Leight eye-wear looked the part. In case you didn’t know Garrett’s dad was the creator of the legendary Oliver Peoples sunglasses and clearly the apple hasn’t fallen too far from the tree as their SS15 range really is rather special.
The slick and sunny L.A. vibes are strong in each pair of this new season’s collection: The layered lenses of the Wilson M Sun are coloured in the kind of dreamy blue that so inspired David Hockney whilst splashing around Beverley Hills finest swimming pools, whilst the Dewey Sun with their geometric shape and cognac tortoise-shell frame are pure ‘hangover at the Chateau‘ material and the Harding Sun pair is inspired by playwright Arthur Miller who despite being really good at writing was also pretty good with the ladies having taken Marilyn Monroe down the aisle back in 1956. So increase your chances of marrying the most beautiful woman in the world and/or looking like a Hollywood legend and buy yourself a pair here.
