Griffin releases their second collaboration with Woolrich for SS19 via a utopian-esque film shot on their Loveland Farm HQ and the surrounding Atlantic coast (with a nice cameo from the main man Jeff). Refusing to compromise on attention to detail each of the pieces are designed with a balance of function, form and fashion that mirrors the Woolrich design philosophy. From Woolrich’s authentic red buffalo-check, to Griffin’s iconic ripstop nylon camouflage, this collection embraces the new whilst still paying it’s dues to tradition. The collection comprises of The Fish Tail Parka; a 3-in-1 jacket, inspired by the iconic military US M51 parka, created in 1951. Made from a ripstop fabric used by the British Army, in which the exterior enlarges the Buffalo Check pattern and enhances the intense colours, such as ultramarine blue, while the inside is embellished by a digital camouflage print. Completing the collection, the ultra-light Light Weigh Down Jacket with detachable sleeves inspired by the Teton family from Woolrich, and the modern and technical Loveland Reversible mountain parka, features eleven pockets and a hood hidden in the exquisitely contemporary waterproof and breathable zipper.
