HANON x Mizuno x Nagoya Grampus Champions the J-League

We covered Mizuno’s collaboration with Japanese football team Nagoya Grampus not too long ago, which saw the two brands link for a capsule that celebrated the club’s ‘93 jersey; a jersey that manifests everything that was good about mid-90’s football attire, with retro flair in abundance and an attitude that matched the risk and style of the beautiful game.

Now, HANON is getting involved in the mix, bringing Nagoya Grampus’ heritage to the forefront by focussing on the imagery that inspired the J-League team’s name. Nagoya castle is decorated with two golden Grampus dolphins, and the city’s logo is a figure known as the “circle eight”, or Maru-Hachi. Both of these images are celebrated in the HANON x Mizuno x Nagoya Grampus collection, which is built around a jersey and a track jacket.

The jersey features grey, dolphin-infused, markings applied on top of a white base, with contrasted grey ribbed sleeves and collar. The Eight logo subs in where the sponsor logo is traditionally found, and a Mizuno ‘M’ sits comfortably on the chest.

The track jacket brings the original ‘93 geometric design back to life in a darker dolphin grey. A classic track jacket, it features a full-length metal zip, two side pockets, and ribbed collar and cuffs. There’s an assured confidence in a track jacket of this calibre, sure to fill your boots – on or off the pitch – with the swagger and style of what made the 90’s a golden era.

The HANON x Mizuno x Nagoya Grampus ’93 Jersey & Track Jacket will be launching at HANON via an online raffle ending on Friday 5th November at 12:00GMT.
