A pioneering figure in the UK house and techno scenes the legend that is Mr. G has just launched his first collection ‘G Threadz’ exclusively at Wellgosh. Inspired by his many trips to Tokyo throughout his illustrious music career, G Threadz presents a tight collection of cut and sew apparel that encapsulates the coming together of two worlds; fashion and music.
Having been producing music for over 30 years Tokyo became a firm favourite of G’s and as a keepsake from every trip he’d visit a plethora of traditional Japanese haberdasheries, where he’d buy up end of lines of Japanese fabrics, taking home some weird and wonderful prints Whilst last year proved a testing time for some, it also provided a time of renewed creativity for others such as Mr. G and his wife Cath. As an accomplished seamstress she spent much of lockdown with G pouring over their archive of Japanese materials resulting in the birth of this brand new label G Threadz.
