KEEN X Jerry Garcia at Oi Polloi

Available in limited numbers those icons of Sandals KEEN have just released two very special pairs of their legendary footwear in tribute to the musical icon Jerry Garcia. Dedicating a generous slice of their profits to the Wilderness Society (a conservation organisation that protects the wilderness whilst inspiring to care for wild places) a further 1% from all sales will also go to protect the Tongass rainforest, one of the largest and most important climate sanctuaries on Earth.

Sharing Jerry’s belief in the power of play to create connections, as kindred spirits in the pursuit of community, freedom, equality, and fun KEEN set out to celebrate the Grateful Dead frontman’s enduring legacy by way of this very special collaborative collection. So for the KEEN x Garcia release two of his paintings, “New York at Night” and “Banyan Tree,” were chosen as inspiration due to their vibrant colours and patterns that capture Jerry’s indomitable and psychedelic spirit.

Consisting of a UNEEK a Newport H2 in two colour options both sandals and a handy mask have all been given the ‘Dead-head’ treatment via some inspired tie-dyeing in order to create unique and playful versions of these classic KEEN products. All the products in the KEEN x Garcia collection are stamped with the Jerry Garcia handprint mark (hardcore fans know he was famously missing part of a finger on his right hand, making his handprint an unmistakable signature) and come delivered in beautiful presentation boxes adorned with his
unique drawings.
