As if we couldn’t love the legendary Lacoste label any more they’ve just hit the their 100,000 mark in their mask production in the fight against Covid-19. Now intent on doubling that figure Lacoste have released the following statement:
“The commitment of Lacoste teams in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus is as strong as ever. Today, LACOSTE is proud to announce the milestone of the 100,000 masks produced in a few weeks. We want to thank all our volunteers who work every day to protect lives. As the fight is not over, the discreet heroes in France will intensify the production to reach 200,000 masks. We would also like to celebrate the great Lacoste family that continues to mobilize around the world. Our factory in Argentina and our Turkish partner, EREN Holding, have also adapted to the manufacture of medical masks and gowns.
Because, every gesture counts to defeat this pandemic, Lacoste will continue its efforts to produce masks beyond April and for as long as the health situation calls for it. Two production lines will be dedicated to this in our historic factory in Troyes (France), to produce the protective equipment essential for a return to normal life.”
