Lacoste x Concepts 2020

Super cool Boston store Concepts have collaborated with legendary French brand Lacoste on a colourful apparel collection as well as a re-magined version of the Lacoste Velocity trainer named the Storm 96. Interestingly Boston is the place where Lacoste was born as it was there in 1923 that a journalist writing for the Boston Evening Transcript first coined the moniker “the Alligator” in reference to a bet Rene was having with his coach over a crocodile skin suitcase .

Limited to 650 pairs worldwide the Storm 96 features details such as an iridescent Concepts x Lacoste logo, affine leather uppers which sit alongside hits of mesh, dynamic gold-tipped laces, and interchangeable tongue-tags. Whilst there’s also a patch to mark each Concepts location worldwide, all of which can be stored in a bespoke pouch in the tongue of the shoe to allow for on-the-go changes with the packaging features the story from the legendary Boston Evening Times article.
