If you’re a fan of old school hip hop then you’ll know that the five elements were really six i.e. B-Boying, MC-ing, Grafitti, DJ-ing, Beatboxing and wearing loads of denim. Back in the golden era of Hip hop wearing fresh denim was as indispensable as a fat gold rope chain, some Cazal glasses and a pair of box fresh shell-toes. In honour of this downtown denim domination LEE have commissioned legendary street photographer and author of seminal street style tome ‘Back in the Days’ Jamel Shabazz to shoot their SS19 campaign. It’s an impressive and incredibly authentic looking shoot as well as being a welcome reminder that if LEE were good enough for Run DMC back in the day then they’re more than good enough for you today.
