Les Basics x Novesta Marathon Runner

How suave are these sneakers? They’re the result of a love affair between London’s Les basics and those kings of the cool collab at Novesta in vintage runner form. Though a popular model in the 70s this version of the Marathon Runner came about in the 1980s as a custom made shoe for Czechoslovakian race-walking golden medalist Jozef Pribilinec. Who won the gold medal for the 20km walk event in 1988’s Seoul Olympics. Whilst the Les Basics version has been redesigned to fit today’s style while keeping the original development goal of being perfect for walking in.

The runner will be available in stone and off white, made from soft supple leather and suede on sale from 12 June, 2018 exclusively at END.
