This is an interesting one, Levi’s Made & Crafted have been joining the sea-faring dots between Japanese craftsmanship and Australian Aboriginal tribal culture as a source of inspiration for their SS18 collection. The cultural commonality they discovered whilst researching the range has led to a unique looking collection they’ve called ‘Voodoo Surf’ that incorporates shibori indigo patchwork, kimono shaped hoodies and Japanese selvedge denim. Though it’s clearly on a modern surfer tip I also think it’s exactly the kind of gear you’d aim to wear when planning your next didgeridoo session down at the Dojo.
