If you’re familiar with Etherow Country park in Stockport and/or the photo shoots that we’ve done there for Proper magazine then you’ll probably conjure up images of ducks and cool couples dressed in Manastash rather than the location for the 21st Century’s answer to Woodstock when you think of this bucolic location.

Despite the park’s strong wildfowl/fashion credentials, Moovin Festival has been happening at Etherow for a couple of years now and this year’s line up is without a doubt their best yet boasting a wealth of impressive musicians and bands that include: Lee Scratch Perry, A Certain Ration, Greg Wilson, Channel One Sound-System, Bez, Mouse Outfit, Riot Jazz, Justin Robertson, Congo Natty and loads and loads of other top people. If the previous Moovin festivals are anything to go by there’ll be a mixed bunch of attendees and a very friendly atmosphere that reflects the none corporate attitudes and ethos of the organisers Herbie Saccani and Paul Fletcher. So for this August Bank Holiday make sure you go straight into Compstall.
