Mt. Rainier Design at Capsule New York

If you’re lucky enough to be New York bound for the forthcoming capsule show on January the 22nd & 23rd then we highly recommend you make it a priority to stop by the Mt. Rainier Design stall for a look at their impressive F/W13 collection. A firm favourite of the Proper Mag crew the brand started out in 2006 via their director (also buyer for ace Japanese store Seilin&co) and word spread fast about the superior quality of Mt. Rainier Design’s peerless parkas and robust rucksacks both of which incorporate the legendary sixty forty fabric in their manufacture. Now stocked in some of the world’s finest stores (see below) Mt. Rainier are one of those rare brands that you just know will always deliver the goods, adding that distinctly Japanese element of perfection and next level attention to detail to American outdoor classics as summed up in their tagline ‘The Original Genuine Quality’. Having visited Capsule in the past it’s like a theme park for clothing geeks like us and we know that Mt. Rainier will be one of the biggest attractions, so make sure you find out where they are and go tell them we said hello.
