The 2002R from New Balance stands out from the crowd.
New Balance has cemented themselves as the go-to designers of stylish, premium kicks this year, with fresh colourways of popular models such as the 550 and 991 proving successful, the Boston based brand has turned their attention toward the 2002R, dropping pairs of the silhouette in “Dark Camo”, “Natural Indigo” and “Sweet Caramel”.
Offering pure comfort and the ultimate ‘dad trainer’ vibes, the 2002R is crafted using an abundance of high-quality materials. The upper of the shoe plays host to a breathable mesh toe-box that features thin leather detailing to add to the design, all while wavy suede overlays make up the rest of the upper. Reflective tabs can be found on the shoes toe box and heel tab as well as the “N” New Balance branding on the side of the shoe. More New Balance branding can be found dotted around the shoe with N, NB and 2002R all making an appearance.
The sole of the shoe is chunky, housing N-ERGY technology for pure comfort as well as a stability web for support. The sole’s two-tone look and distinct shaping add to the 2002R’s design, allowing it to stand out from the crowds with style. A chunky trainer with a classic retro aesthetic, what’s not to love?
The pairs are quickly selling out over at Aphrodite, so you better be quick if you want to cop some for yourself!
