The 14th of July is Shark Awareness Day. Coincidentally, Paul & Shark have just shared, a sneak peek from their forthcoming SS22 Shark Trust capsule, celebrating their ongoing partnership with the UK’s The Shark Trust.
The Blue Shark is classified as Near Threatened, so in order to raise awareness around lesser-known species of shark, Paul & Shark have put together this fintastic collection that will be with us next spring. The Shark Trust Typhoon Save the Sea Jacket is the incredible ocean blue piece you can see below, which will swim alongside a small but perfectly formed capsule that consists of a polo, t-shirt, hoodie, and Bermuda shorts, and swim shorts. Paul & Shark have been funding research and data expeditions through The Shark Trust, and this forthcoming capsule is inspired by the coats that were worn by the seasoned members of the crew.
In addition, Paul & Shark have expanded their range of materials to ensure that they aren’t just helping in spirit. ECONYL® nylon has been regenerated from broken and discarded fishing nets, while the SEAQUAL polyester yarn, introduced for SS21, is made from processed plastic gathered from ocean clean-ups.
